A Donghyunine video posted October 24 showed Kim Dong-hyun receiving anniversary gifts from his wife, Song Ha-yul. Kim Dong-hyun is a broadcaster and former mixed martial arts fighter. While Kim was away, Song turned on the camera and explained that their wedding anniversary comes after Chuseok. She said she writes him a letter every year but wanted to add a special gift this time.
Song began writing a handwritten letter before Kim returned home. Song said she sold items secondhand while making room for their 4th child and used the money to prepare a gold letter. She had a message for her husband engraved on it. Song said the delivery box made her expect a larger item, but the letter inside was small. She examined it and said its lettering was still legible.
When Kim returned, Song first handed him the note she had written. He asked when she had written it, then received the gold letter as well. In the handwritten note, Song reflected on their becoming parents of 4 children and expressed a hope that, after the children grow up, they will look back fondly on their time together. Kim thanked Song for preparing the gifts while she was recovering after childbirth.
Kim and Song married in 2018 and had their first son in 2019 and daughters in 2021 and 2023. Their 4th child, a son, was born in September, making them parents of 2 sons and 2 daughters. The video also showed the day Song left a postpartum care center. Reflecting on the past 8 years, Song said she had given birth roughly every 2 years.
Song also said that, as parents of their youngest child, she and Kim were older than many parents she saw at the care center. Kim said he would be in his 50s when their youngest starts elementary school. Song told him he takes good care of himself, while adding that she wished they had had the child 5 or 6 years earlier. An October 17 channel video had shown Kim holding their son when the baby was 4 days old. Song said the baby’s profile, forehead, crown and hair whorl resembled Kim’s. Kim said the baby had pronounced double eyelids and that his face reminded him of their younger daughter, Yeon-woo, as an infant.
