Actor Lee Kyu Han appeared in a video released on Solbi’s YouTube channel, Solbi Is Back, on Oct. 22. Singer and painter Solbi said she was introducing her fiancé to fulfill an earlier statement that she would marry within 3 years. In the video, filmed with the two seated in a car, Lee introduced himself as Solbi’s fiancé and described her as beautiful.
Lee said he had suggested appearing because he wanted to greet viewers on Solbi’s channel first after their wedding announcement. Solbi thanked those who had congratulated them. She also said it felt a little awkward to appear on camera with Lee again after the dating show they filmed together last year. The car setting recalled a scene they had shared on that show.
During Old Meeting Pursuit, the two were given a challenge to hold hands in a car. Solbi said her feelings grew when Lee pulled her hand toward him during a scene in a car for Old Meeting Pursuit. Lee said Solbi had suggested filming the new video in a car to revisit that moment.
Lee said he subscribed to Solbi’s channel after Old Meeting Pursuit ended and watched every video posted there. He said he waited for new uploads and remembered a video in which Solbi said she would marry within 3 years. When Solbi asked what he thought on seeing it, Lee said he wondered whether he would have to wait 3 years. Asked whether he had liked her then, he joked that he had liked her for 20 years.
The two first met at a gathering of acquaintances about 20 years ago and stayed in touch as colleagues. They appeared together on the variety show Oppa Thinking in 2017 and on Old Meeting Pursuit Season 3 last year. They did not become a final couple on the latter show but later began a relationship.
Their wedding news became public on Oct. 15. Solbi’s agency, Jian Castle, said at the time that the two had agreed to marry based on their trust and love for each other. Lee said he was surprised and moved by how much attention the announcement received. He said they planned to prepare for their wedding and hold the ceremony next April.
