Actor Han Ga-in posted a YouTube video on October 15 showing jewelry she has collected over 23 years. She said the pieces in the video were not part of an advertisement or sponsorship. Even when she discovered a brand through a broadcast sponsorship, she said she often bought its products herself in a store or online.

Han said she wanted to feature reasonably priced pieces from Korean designer brands because some people assume the jewelry she wears is expensive luxury merchandise. She also said she favors 14K over 18K gold for its price and color.

In an earlier dispute over an albumin product, Han said she had bought it herself and disclosed payment records. Samangyeou TV subsequently made its related short video private and apologized.
